Show Notes

This week, we mark Juneteenth by sharing a terrific conversation from the summer of 2020 between Bill Haley and Rev. Darryl Ford of Ikon Community Church in Atlanta, GA.

In the wake of George Floyd’s killing, a vital and contentious discussion re-ignited in the American church about the role of race and racism in our past and present. These often contentious debates are ongoing. That summer, Coracle invited Darryl to speak on whatever topic he thought would be most helpful. Darryl is a trusted friend and one of the founders of the Repentance Project, and he chose to make a case for “Anti-Racism as an Essential Tenet of American Discipleship.” This was a very helpful conversation in the summer of 2020, and it remains so almost two years later.
